Working to end racism and discrimination in the Valparaiso Community Schools and to adopt policies that that affirm and welcome all students. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM by zoom to coordinate strategy for our work in the Valparaiso Schools.
education & resources
Educate ourselves and our community about how racism, white supremacy, and white privilege function and adversely affect everyone in our society, locally and nationally, and what we can do about it. We have held public forums and guided discussion learning groups.
law enforcement
Working with the Valparaiso Police Department and law enforcement to change “Use of Force” and other policies in order to end unwarranted discrimination and violence against African Americans and people of color.
